Weight loss and weight control is one of the most common things people come to hypnotherapists for and there's a reason for that... it's because it works. Our cravings, hunger, motivation to workout and so on are all located in that all too familiar place which is our subconscious mind. How much control do we consciously have over our subconscious mind? Well, if we really had that much control over it, we'd be a lot thinner and healthier. This is where hypnosis comes in. We'll work with your subconscious to help you obtain your goals, whatever they may be, but everyone has different goals when it comes to weight control.
What we do in hypnotherapy will be different for each and every client that comes in because everyone is so very unique in their goals. Let's say a friend came in for hypnosis and recommended you also come in. We don't do any kind of "cookie cutter" hypnosis for weight control like some other hypnotists do because your personality, goals and how you want to achieve them will be different than the next person. In therapy, we will discuss your goals and how you want to achieve them while figuring out your personality so we can use the best suggestions that are unique to you because that's when your subconscious mind will fully accept them. In our sessions, we have the option to work with several areas on health and fitness.
Oh there's lots to work on here. How much you eat, how often you eat, what you eat, even what you don't eat and sometimes how you eat are all part of this category that'll be covered in your sessions. There's a little known cause and solution when it comes to your weight and it's becoming more and more known. It's your protein intake vs. your sugar intake. It's incredible the amount of things sugar can be found in. It's one of the biggest contributing factors in America's obesity problem but it doesn't have to be your problem.
Having some sort of workout no matter how small it may be is so very important to not only your weight, but your overall health as well, but guess what? If you don't want to do it, we won't suggest you do it. There's a rule in hypnosis and it's the fact that we can't suggest you do something you don't want to do. So we won't waste your time by suggesting you change something about your lifestyle that you don't want to change. We will however bring up bring it up in your sessions and if you don't want to workout, we can still suggest that your desire to workout will increase.
Some people want to gain weight. Yes, you read that right. Gain weight. But it's not the type of weight you may be thinking of. Some people come in for hypnosis to help them gain muscle. We can help those bodybuilders out there in achieving those goals by giving them the motivation to start and continue going to the gym, pushing up that weight just one more rep and feeling the desire to take in the necessary amount of protein. Visualizing yourself where your goal was accomplished is a powerful tool we will no doubt use.
This isn't an over night fix. Having just one session isn't going to change everything above. The first session is just the first step in the right direction. It's going to take more steps and more sessions for you to reach the end and obtain your goal. Whatever your goal is in the category of weight and fitness, we can help you achieve it.
